The Start of a New Life
Tonight, I'm going to fly off to Sydney, after 7 long months of holidays. Honestly though, I didn't quite feel anything about this. Been questioned the same thing here and there, but all I could say was... I don't know? Though what I would probably miss the most here, I know, it's gonna be the past 7 months of pure bliss and no worries. After all, I've already forgotten about how to worry about assignments and presentations, about exams and about my results. Days like those... They were all pure bliss.
But as the days go by, I start to cherish my worriless days more and more. Spending time doing things like nobody's business was fun indeed, and to know that after I leave for Sydney, I might not have times like those anymore, I could only smile bitterly. After graduating from university, I probably have to start getting a job. After that, the next few decades of my life, I'll have to move on to a new phase of life and start earning money to raise myself, and probably my family.
Sigh. Talking about that depresses me, haha. Anyways, I'm not going to say much, just gonna jot down a few things that has happened over the past 2 weeks or so, events that happened prior to my departure for Sydney.
First of all, the Penang trip. A joyous trip full of laughter and nonsensical chattering. A reunion with 3 of my closer friends in ICPU. The 4-days trip was really, one of my best memories in life. Sure, Penang was hot like hell and all that, but the food was great and the people were awesome. Not to mention the memes (aka phrases we created) we started back then, like Xariah, and Saturn, and BS. They were all so awesome and still brings a smile to my face whenever I recall of them. Really, probably the most memorable thing about my Penang trip was the fun and unusual conversations we had there. I'll miss you guys and our time together a lot, Xhrine, Xin Xhoong, Xariah, Xorgan and myself, Xaggie. *does the Xaggie pose (puts fingers into nose)*

Two weeks later, my family and I had a 4 days trip to Macau and Hong Kong! Walked a lot, sweat a lot, tanned a lot, and even got myself sick. But because of that, I had time to rest in the hotel in Hong Kong, and had some time to myself. Of course, having time alone means time to think about the universe and our places in it. Depressing things, basically. I suddenly feel so touched and happy that I have a family to go out with, and people who actually cared about me. Darn you depressing things. Darn youuuuu.
Anyways, the trip was short, but it was nice. Not the shopping part, of course not. But just a quick tour around Macau and Hong Kong and some moments spent with my family and parents not having to worry about work.
After my Macau + Hong Kong trip, I suddenly recalled that I had one more week left before I leave for Sydney. It struck me so badly, that I suddenly felt like time wasn't enough anymore. No, it's not about my things. They were packed even more than a month ago. I just felt I didn't have enough time to do what I want. (Which I don't exactly know what, cause I did everything I loved in the past few months!)
Anyways, days later, I had the gathering that I was planning for so long with my group of close friends from high school. As usual, they all came to hang out in my house, playing board games and 'chap kut' and whatnot. Until the night when everyone suddenly shoved presents to me in my face. I was surprised because while I did expect one present, I did not expect the others. First of all, the CCZG gang. The purse was expected cause...yeah, haha. The video... I was surprised at first, but after a while, I remembered then I was like, "Oh right!" Cause, Chua asked me before few months ago about how to make a video, that she wanted to make one for someone. So I expected it was for me. I know, I'm very 'perasan'. But in the end, I really liked the video. The video nicely summed up everything, and yes, surprisingly everything. Well done, guys!
And then we have presents from the others. Bond and Xariah. Bond, thank you so much for the pillow. Really, I can't describe it much, but I'm really happy to have a pillow to lie down on and to hug in the plane, since the pillow MAS provides stink of their perfume. *vomits* I probably won't use it as a blanket, (I'm not that short! Haha.) but a pillow, I definitely will. I was told that we couldn't get bolsters in Australia, so I'll be sure to use your pillow as one. Thank you so much.
Xariah, your present was...very surprising. I had expected something handmade, since you told me before. You asked me to forgive you if it was bad, but really, upon opening the box, who could hate such a present? I'm not sure if I can use it in Australia, to be honest, haha, but I'll definitely bring it there just in case. But really, thank you for even taking the time to make one. I can't say what it is, cause I know Xariah made one for two other people who might be reading this too, haha. But really, thank you, Xariah.

Then I also had presents from my relatives. Received an iPad and a Sony Walkman from my aunt and another uncle of mine. Thank you so much. San Jiu Ma, really, thank you so very much about the iPad. I was reluctant to buy it at first cause I feel I didn't need to use so much money to buy something I might not need. But after you bought it for me, I feel really grateful. Maybe it's because I really want one, haha. But I know that my iPad will come in very handy when I'm in Australia. Thank you so much. And then to my distant uncle, thank you for the Walkman. Although I might not use it as much, knowing that you even took the liberty to buy one for me really touched me. Thank you so much.
Alright, time to go on with the gathering. The last gathering I had was with my cousins, my awesome cousins. I always loved hanging out with you guys, and to joke and have fun with you all. Knowing that most of us are all overseas now, it struck me about how hard it is to find a time for all of us to gather like this again. So it really was a very nice memory as I spend my past weekend with you guys. Thank you, guys, for the many 60 seconds of laughter you shared with me.
Lastly, to my own family. Haha, nothing much to say here. Just, you know, the usual stuff. Alright, I'll just shut up and say thank you. There.
Right! I think I'm done with most of the things. I'll update this blog more often, I really really hope. I missed having a blog around to let me relive my funny moments with you guys. And to have you all reading my posts and comment on them makes me all the more happier. I'll be more hardworking from now on and update here!
Anyways, 3 more hours before I leave to the airport, so I'm gonna log out now and prepare for stuffs! Bye!
